Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, yesterday, assured that his administration would give adequate attention to the welfare of the citizenry, and focus more on the provision of soft infrastructure in the 2025 fiscal year.
He restated that the state government had not borrowed or obtained loan in the last two years to implement or fund capital projects and other socio-economic programmes.
Addressing the people of the state in the new year, Adeleke, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, listed successes of his administration across the sectors, noting that 2025 would witness new and continuation of old social programmes designed to cushion the effect of the hard time on the citizens.
While pledging completion of all ongoing projects and the new ones captured in the 2025 budget, the governor emphasised that his motivation remains to see to the well-being Osun people. He promised “to remain as before a responsive, listening, and compassionate governor.”
While extending an olive branch to members of the opposition parties, Adeleke argued that he had kept faith with his pledge for transparency and accountability in governance, noting that “in the last one year, we got and processed several requests for information based on the Freedom of Information Act.
We ensured access to information as a transparent and accountable government.”
