Global law firm Parsons has officially launch offices in London, the United Arab Emirates, and Lagos, Nigeria, positioning itself as a key player in cross-border transactions involving Africa.
Led by U.K.-based senior lawyers Dr. Gabriel Onagoruwa and Gregory Kahn, the firm aims to provide Africa-focused legal services to both local and international clients. The launch was announced on Tuesday, with the firm emphasising its ambition to bridge international legal standards with deep regional insight.
“At Parsons, we see Africa not as a frontier, but as a core part of the global economy. We are here to partner with clients who share that vision,” said founding partner Onagoruwa in a statement.
Dual-qualified in the U.K. and Nigeria, Onagoruwa is a corporate and finance lawyer with experience at leading firms including White & Case and Olaniwun Ajayi. He noted that Parsons is committed to supporting deals either flowing into or originating from Africa, with “insight, precision, and purpose.”
Gregory Kahn, a former partner at Dentons, will head the firm’s Middle East practice. He pointed to growing investor interest in African markets from Europe and the Gulf. “Parsons is built to support that kind of work with practical, business-focused legal advice,” he said.
The firm also announced its plans to make senior appointments across its new offices and is actively exploring further expansion into Ghana, Kenya, and jurisdictions within the OHADA region.
“The firm’s goal is to offer seamless legal support for Africa-related transactions, whether led by African institutions or global investors,” the statement read.
