Again, bandits invade Kaduna community, kill eight persons
No fewer than eight persons have been reported killed by bandits at Atak’Njei, Ungwa Gaiya community in Zangon Kataf Council of Kaduna State.
The assault is less than 24 hours to the one that occurred in Birnin Gwari Council, where nine people lost their lives and others kidnapped.
Specifically, Atak’Njei houses palace of the Atyap paramount ruler, Agwatyap.
Though the police authorities are yet to respond, the council chairman, Francis Sani Zimbo, who confirmed the development, explained that the assailants stormed the community at about 9:00p.m. on Wednesday. He added that he injured are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals in the area
It was gathered that the bandits invaded no less than five homes, during which they shot eight people dead, while four others sustained injuries.
Also reacting, National President, Atyap Community Development Association (ACDA), Sam Timbuwak Achie, described the attack as barbaric.
He charged security agencies to fish out the perpetrators.
The latest onslaught comes few weeks after 10 persons were slaughtered at Langson community in the same council area.
