Again, gunmen kidnap APC chieftain in Calabar
Unknown gunmen in Calabar have kidnapped prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Dominic Edem, for the second time.
Edem, a two-time member of the state House of Assembly representing Bakassi State Constituency, who is a member representing Cross River State on the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was yesterday abducted and whisked away in his village in Bakassi Council. His aide, Obun Ekanem, who disclosed this, said the kidnappers were yet to contact the family.
“He was kidnapped in 2015 when he contested for the House of Representatives for Bakassi/Akpabuyo/Calabar South Federal Constituency and released after ransom was paid.” Deputy Public Relation Officer of the State Police Command, Igiri Ewa, confirmed the kidnap.
