Again, Ikimi Reports To EFCC Over Share In Arms Fund
PIONEER national chairman of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) and foundation member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tom Ikimi, is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly sharing N295 million from the $2.1 billion arms procurement fund.
The Guardian had reported that Ikimi was sighted at the EFCC headquarters on Wednesday with two of his aides.
An operative of the commission said Ikimi had been reporting to the EFCC everyday since Wednesday.
“He was also here today, accompanied by three aides. He left around 4:20pm,” the source said.
Ikimi has been reporting to the EFCC everyday to explain how he allegedly got involved in the sharing spree, and according to the EFCC source, he “is cooperating with us.”
