Again, kidnappers strike, kill housewife in Jalingo
A housewife, identified as Patience, has been killed in Mile Six area of Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, by suspected kidnappers. Also, two persons were abducted during the incident that occurred yesterday, in the state capital.
The incident was coming barely two weeks after several persons, including a lawyer, were abducted in Mayo-Dasa area of the metropolis. When contacted, the state command of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), confirmed that a female was killed by the kidnappers, while two others were abducted.
According to a police source, the kidnappers gained entrance into the victim’s compound, identified as Ballanko Alex, through the fence. The command, the source said, is working to crack down on the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, residents of the area have expressed dismay at the way kidnappers have continued to have filled day in the state capital. They urged the state government to collaborate with security operatives to reduce activities of hoodlums and kidnappers.
The residents believed that supporting security agencies with the needed logistics would address present security challenges in the state capital.
