Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has assured that he will appoint people with experience in governance to achieve his vision of a stronger Delta he promised the people.

Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has assured that he will appoint people with experience in governance to achieve his vision of a stronger Delta he promised the people.

He stated this yesterday in Asaba, while swearing in two Special Advisers, Dr. Augustine Obidi and Chief Ebikeme Clark, he had known the appointees as experienced grassroots politicians and that a lot would be expected from them as their contributions to greater development of the state.

He said Obidi and Clark have worked very closely with the government and they are grassroots politicians having contested and won elections at their councils in the past.

“We need experienced men to enrich governance in the state and I believe that they will contribute to the improvement of governance in Delta.

“We are about closing in on the second year of the second tenure of our administration and definitely, we require a lot of efforts and a lot of contributions in order to be able to achieve the things we set out to achieve.

Responding, Obidi thanked Okowa for considering them of the stronger Delta team, saying they identified with the vision for a greater Delta and pledged to partner the SMART Team to enhance governance in the state.
