Amaechi to tour parastatals, agencies under transportation ministry

The minister who has communicated this official tour to the various transport and aviation arms of the ministry, is also expected to use the visit to assess the strength and weaknesses of each of the agencies in order to make recommendations on the way forward.

The Guardian gathered that the transportation minister requested to embark on the tour to familiarise himself with the workings of the various agencies and to personally take note of their challenges to position them for efficient service delivery.

Amaechi, who had earlier pledged to complete key rail projects embarked upon between the Federal Government and the Chinese government, also said that industrial harmony among various staff unions in the ministry is a priority.
