Nigerian-UK based twins Roselyn and Davies Bamigboye have been awarded honorary doctorate degrees by the American Management University, California.
The award is in recognition of the twins’ contributions to humanitarian leadership and entrepreneurship.
Roselyn Bamigboye received the Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarian Leadership and Entrepreneurship, recognising her transformative work that has positively impacted countless lives.
In her acceptance speech, Roselyn said: “True leadership is measured not by titles, but by the positive changes that we bring to people’s lives, this recognition belongs not to me alone, but to every person who has joined hands in our mission to serve humanity.”
Her twin brother, Davies Bamigboye, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Diplomacy, acknowledging his strategic vision and diplomatic prowess.
In his remarks Davies said: “Our shared history creates a foundation, but it is our shared vision that will determine our future, I am deeply honored by this recognition and remain committed to fostering global partnerships that address our shared challenges.”
The awards ceremony, which held during the Global Strategy Nexus–Africa Summit, brought together dignitaries, business leaders, and humanitarian organisations from across Africa and beyond.
Also honoured at the ceremony was the First Lady of Antigua and Barbuda, Lady Sandra Scotland Williams, who received an Honorary Doctorate in Strategic Leadership.
Her recognition highlighted her contributions to inclusive governance, soft-power diplomacy, and cross-regional cooperation, serving as a powerful symbol of Caribbean–African solidarity.
Also among the awardees was Chairman of Odu’a Investment Company Limited, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, who was recognised for his transformative leadership in Nigeria’s business landscape and commitment to economic development.
Earlier, the African Representative of American Management University, California, Associate Professor Takon Samuel Ojong, who decorated the Awardees for their exceptional performances and contributions to socio-economic development in Africa, Europe and the Caribbean, said: “These honorary doctorates are not merely accolades but recognition of exceptional individuals whose work transcends boundaries and creates lasting impact.
“The Bamigboye twins exemplify the kind of leadership our world desperately needs today, establishing themselves as influential figures in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, leveraging their unique positions to build bridges between cultures and create opportunities for international cooperation.”
