Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has advised intending pilgrims to Israel to be law abiding and respect the culture of their hosts.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has advised intending pilgrims to Israel to be law abiding and respect the culture of their hosts.

In a statement signed by Press Officer, Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lateef Ositelu, the governor, represented by his deputy, Chief Yetunde Onanuga, at the Farewell Service for the Pilgrims in Abeokuta charged them to comport themselves, be security conscious and law abiding.

He said: “pilgrims from Ogun should pride themselves high as the best and shun any plot of running away in Israel. Such scheme is not only devilish, but also ungodly.”

Also, Bishop of Egba West Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. S. O. Ogundeji in his farewell message charged them to be conscious of their Christ-like nature of holiness and live up to expectation as worthy ambassadors, explaining that travelling to Jerusalem is not a ticket to heaven but that they should use the pilgrimage as a way of moving closer to God.
