Esiri began his career as a Senior Petrophysicist and Project Manager at ENI in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where he led initiatives to implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and manage complex drilling projects. His technical expertise and leadership resulted in increased production output and improved data acquisition efficiency, setting the foundation for his later successes in the energy sector.

Seeking to expand his impact, Esiri pursued a Master of Science in Global Energy Leadership at the University of Houston. This academic experience provided him with a deep understanding of global energy systems and regulatory frameworks, preparing him to manage energy projects on an international scale.

In the United States, Esiri has been at the forefront of advancing sustainable energy practices. As an Energy Research Intern at the University of Houston’s Center for Carbon Management in Energy (CCME), he contributed to research that shaped the Houston Energy Transition white paper, which has influenced policies aimed at promoting sustainable energy transitions. His work on carbon management and energy transition strategies has been instrumental in advancing the commercialization of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies.

Esiri’s research on methane emission monitoring and digital twin technology has further solidified his position as a thought leader in the energy sector. His work on digital twins—virtual replicas of physical assets—demonstrates how this technology can revolutionize infrastructure management, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
