Another batch receives C-of-O in Ogun homeowners scheme
The Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has said his administration was keeping to the promise made in 2013 that all successful applicants under the HomeOwners’ charter programme would collect their documents. He stated this during the 28th edition of the distribution of Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) and building plan approval to another batch of beneficiaries at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta.
Amosun, who was represented by the Commissioner for Forestry, Chief Kolawole Lawal, said the consistency in the distribution of C-of-O was a proof that government was working towards the development of the state and also showed that the property belonged to the successful applicants. He noted that the issuance of C-of-O in the past was challenging until the introduction of HomeOwners’ Charter, which has made it easier for thousands of people to benefit.
The coordinating consultant of the programme, Mr. Niyi Oguntula, said the state was committed towards ensuring that all applicants who meet the requisite criteria are issued with the documents.Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Bello Rasheed from Obantoko, Abeokuta, thanked the governor for keeping to his promise.
