An All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Mrs. Ann Nwanyibuife Agom-Eze, has petitioned the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Federal High Court, John Tsoho, accusing Governor David Umahi of attempt to subvert the course of justice.

In a four-paragraph petition captioned, ‘SOS to His Lordship, the Chief Justice of Federal High Court on the Attempt by Governor David Umahi (plaintiff) in Suit No CA/F/190M/2022 to Truncate the Course of Justice,’ the petitioner pleaded with the CJ to prevail on Justice Riman of Abakaliki Federal High Court not to drag the judiciary in the mud.

Part of the petition dated July 28, reads: “I write in respect of Suit No. No CA/F/190M/2022, emanating from a Federal High Court judgment in Abakaliki on July 22, 2022.

“My attention has been drawn to the attempt by Mr. Roy Umahi, elder brother to Umahi, who also doubles as his lawyer, seeking to obtain an ex-parte order on a matter that is currently pending at the Court of Appeal, Enugu division.

However, in a swift reaction, Umahi, through his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Chooks Oko, said it was no wonder that “Agom-Eze is at it again.’

The governor enjoined the general public and the judiciary, in particular, to disregard and totally ignore her veiled blackmail and an attempt to be a senatorial candidate by hook or crook, instead of through known standards.
