The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday threw its weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s position on irregular migrants who make the perilous journey in search of greener pasture abroad.

APC’s Acting Publicity Secretary, Mr. Yekini Nabena, in a statement particularly frowned at alleged attempt by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to politicise Buhari’s position on the issue during the visit of the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

The party, which insisted that the Buhari-led administration has demonstrated the political will to check the scourge, maintained that it is a known fact that many Nigerian families have suffered grief as a result of deaths and other inhuman treatment that have befell relatives attempting migration to Europe and other parts of the world.
