THE All Progressives Congress (APC), Canada chapter, has congratulated the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on their victory at the just concluded general elections, describing it as the birth of a new dawn in the country.

In a statement made available to The Guardian and jointly signed by Dr. Kayode Alesh, APC Diaspora National chairman, Canada, and the National Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Ilupeju, the party said the victory definitely births the brightness of a new dawn for Nigeria.

The party also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the introduction of Card Reader Smart Card with a view to ensuring that the election is free, fair and credible.

“We give kudos to INEC for creating a level playing field and impartiality in its conduct of the election, even though the process was far from perfect, yet the introduction of new Card Reader technology into the electioneering process is a bold step in the pursuit of error-free elections in Nigeria,” it said.
