
The consolidated APC grassroots movement (CAGram), has inaugurated new excos to oversee the activities of grassroots politics and pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking at the inauguration, the national chairman of the movement, Salisu Magaji, said that the newly inaugurated members would expect to mobilize at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.
Magaji said: “The expectations are very clear. We are to mobilize for the party at the grassroots. We have started working towards the 2027 elections.
“We are not going to relent because we know our mandate is the first grassroots president that we ever have in this country, and he has demonstrated that within the six months of his stay because the atmosphere is very conditioned.
“There are a lot of investors attraction from outside the country. It was really common. And today, the oil issues are going to become history. The dollar issue is going to become history. And we are talking about health.
“If you look at this budget, what takes a major part of the budget is security, human development and education. That’s to show this guy has a sense of belonging. This is our mission. Top three problems in the country he did not talk about infrastructure he talks about human development security and education so these are the three cardinal principles of governance.”
In his remarks, the national chairman for south, Agbi Stephen Omobamidele, said: “We have come as a movement to work together for the government of President Bola Tinubu and his Vice. So we have come to work together not as a support movement as it used to be before but a movement to hit the goals.
Also speaking, national vice chairman of the movement, Kolawole Okedara, said: “Nigerians especially members of CAGraM across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria are now the new baby that has come to revive, rebuild and reposition APC to greater heights. Nigerians should have faith and keep supporting the present administration of President Bola Tinubu.”
National director for youth directorate, said: “This movement would in the coming days and months spread into all nook and crannies of Nigeria with a wide structure from the ward to the local government, to the constituency, to the state where by we will be able to have a database of people of real people that will be interested to work for APC in the coming election not just for 2027 election.”
