As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum, prominent figures in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have expressed confidence in the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s electoral prospects.

Former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, strongly endorsed the Tinubu administration, stating that it remains on course to deliver what he described as “transformative reforms” capable of driving sustainable national development.

Ochei also commended the APC leadership for its internal cohesion, citing the consensus emergence of Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman as evidence of unity and political maturity within the party.

In a bold political projection, former House of Representatives member and APC chieftain, Solomon Ahwinahwi, said Delta State could deliver as many as five million votes for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Speaking in Asaba, Ahwinahwi attributed the party’s optimism to what he described as “unprecedented cohesion” across the South-South region, adding that the APC has built strong political structures to dominate future elections.

“This is the first time the South-South is coming together as one,” he said, describing the projected vote tally as “a done deal.”

He further claimed that the APC holds significant political structures in Delta State and maintains considerable influence across other parties, as the leadership continues to prioritise unity and strategic consolidation ahead of the 2027 elections.
