APC leaders promise victory for Obaseki

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south senatorial district have promised to secure victory for Godwin Obaseki in seven local council areas.

The spokesman of the leaders, ‎Gentleman Amegor, spoke to newsmen in Benin City at the end of their meeting, which lasted for three hours.

He said they had been mandated to deliver their wards and promised to win all the units under them.

Amegor said the APC’s candidate is not only experienced, but has the credibility and integrity to go with it.

He said: “The people must be reminded not to allow themselves to be deceived again. They must be freed from the lies being peddled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We believe in Obaseki. He has done much for the state and has much more to do. He wants to continue with the work that Governor Adams Oshiomhole started. He wants to create more jobs, having drawn out an empowerment programme for our youths and women.”

Several leaders of the party in the zone attended the meeting. Among them were: the ‎former Deputy Governor, Lucky Imasuen, Senator Ehigie Uzamere, the Commissioner for Justice, Henry Idahagbon, Josef Omorontionmwan and Mathew Egharevba, among others.

Meanwhile, Obaseki has promised that if elected, he would review transportation in the state to meet the needs of the people.

He made the promise in Benin City yesterday while speaking with drivers under the aegis of the state’s Drivers Welfare Scheme.

‎According to Obaseki, transportation is a thriving business in the state and would be boosted to provide job opportunities to the people.

He lauded the drivers for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to a quality leadership that would further transform the state.
