The Abuja Division of Appeal court on Wednesday affirmed Senator Abba Moro of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of February 25 senatorial election for the Benue south senatorial seat.

The court held that the appellants (Daniel Onje and his party ) were unable to prove their case before the court to warrant the nullification of the election.

The three-man panel of justice therefore upheld the declaration of Senator Abba Moro as duly elected senator representing the Benue south senatorial seat.

The court held that the appellants’ allegations of forgery against the respondent (Moro) were speculative and could not be proven by the appellant.

The court therefore held that there was no evidence to prove that there was forgery and subsequently dismisses the case.
