Aregbesola commiserates with Emir of Borgu’s family

THE Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has extended his condolences to the family of late Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro, who died last week, describing him as a totally detribalised Nigerian who served meritoriously.

THE Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has extended his condolences to the family of late Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro, who died last week, describing him as a totally detribalised Nigerian who served meritoriously.

A statement by the Director, Bureau of Communication and Strategy, Office of the Governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, quoted the governor as describing the death of the late Emir and one time Senator and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a monumental loss to the country.

Aregbesola, who prayed for the repose of the Emir’s soul, extended his “profound condolence to the immediate family, the government and the entire people of Niger State.‎

He described the death of the late Emir of Borgu, as a great loss to Nigeria as it enters the change period, stating that the wealth of experience of the late monarch who was a great administrator will be missed.
