Asiodu chairs Osadebey’s memorial lecture

The second memorial lecture in honour of the first Premier of Mid Western region, the late Dennis Osadebey, is scheduled to hold tomorrow in Asaba, under the chairmanship of Philip Asiodu.

The second memorial lecture in honour of the first Premier of Mid Western region, the late Dennis Osadebey, is scheduled to hold tomorrow in Asaba, under the chairmanship of Philip Asiodu.

Organised on the auspicies of a socio-cultural body, ASDEV 81 Club, the first lecture was held two years ago, with the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah as chairman.

According to the Chairman of the Osadebay Memorial Lecture planning committee, Tony Okwuraiwe, several guests are expected, among them; Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria; Prof Yemi Osinbajo, governors of Delta State Ifeanyi Okowa, Anambra State’s Willie Obiano and Edo State’s Adams Oshiomhole.

The theme of this year’s lecture is, ‘Strong Institutions as a Panacea to Good Governance in Nigeria” and will be delivered by Prof Patrick Utomi of the Lagos Business School.

He is expected to be supported by immediate past Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal studies,
Prof Epiphany Azinge and former Vice President, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, a global asset and wealth management firm.
