Atiku meets Obasanjo, Alake

• Urges Youths To Compete With Elders For Elective Offices In 2023
Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, yesterday, met with his erstwhile boss, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Alake of Egba Land, Oba Adetokunbo Gbadebo and Chairman, Premier Lotto limited, Sir Keshington Adebukunola Adebutu in Ogun State.
 
Atiku was a guest at Mr. Ladi Adebutu’s 60th birthday ceremony. Adebutu, who was the 2019 governorship aspirant of Ogun chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was said to have used the opportunity of his visit to Iperu in Ogun East and the commissioning of 21 Century ultra- modern abattoir, to pay a courtesy visit to Obasanjo and the paramount ruler.
 
Meanwhile, Atiku was among thousands of top-notch politicians and personalities that graced Ladi Adebutu’s ceremony and indication the celebrant is still interested in the Ogun 2023 PDP gubernatorial ticket.
    


Atiku, who arrived the Penthouse residence of Chief Obasanjo at 10.10a.m. went into a private meeting with Obasanjo, which lasted for about one hour.
 
In a brief interaction with the media after the closed-door meeting, Atiku disclosed he came to see his former boss, but remained silent on what was discussed during the meeting.
 
He called on Nigerian youths to summon enough courage to compete with elders for elective offices in 2023, including the office of the President, saying, seeking to deny the old ones their constitutional rights to pursue their political ambition is not right.

In a related development, The Guardian learnt some Southeast presidential aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) are preparing to visit some Yoruba monarchs and the Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum for alliances that can translate to their victory at both the ruling party’s primary and at the general elections in 2023.
 
President of the forum, Mr. Akin Malaolu confirmed that a Southeast presidential aspirant had made overtures to the group and they shall soon reach an all embracing arrangement.
 
He was not ready to provide the identity of the aspirant, whom he said, was a serving cabinet member of the present administration.

Malaolu said Yoruba Ronu would encourage all presidential hopefuls to visit Yoruba royal fathers for blessings.
 
According to him, “Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, has been at the forefront of advocating for Southeast presidency, if the country is interested in micro managing its diversity and also ready for peace.”
