Atiku wins in El-Rufai LGA, defeats Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has emerged winner in the Local Government Area (LGA) of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

El-Rufai, a campaign member of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), failed to deliver his unit to Bola Tinubu.

According to the election results announced by the presiding officer of polling unit 024 for El-Rufai in Kaduna North LGAs, Atiku polled 62,260 votes while Tinubu received 41,432 votes.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, polled 8,729 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party trailed with 3,634 votes.
