Atiku wins in Osun, defeats Tinubu, Obi, Kwankwaso

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Atiku, has won the presidential election in Osun State.

Atiku defeated his co-contenders with a total of 354,366 votes, according to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 69 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.

Atiku’s closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 343,945 votes to emerge second.

While the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, got 23,283 votes and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, polled 713 votes.
