Attah tasks Diaspora Igala on homeland development

Attah Igala, HRM Matthew Oguche, Akpa II, has charged the Igala community in the Diaspora to unite and secure, develop and industrialise Igalaland.

The paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom spoke, at the weekend, when the Igala Association, United States of America, held its 21st yearly conference in Chicago and elected its new executive committee members.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Igala USA, Raphael Agbali, quoted the Attah to have said that such development should translate into new technologies that could create employment for the teeming youths and make Igala more secure and prosperous.

Addressing the conference via virtual feed, the Attah, joined by the Achadu Oko Attah Igala/Prime Minister of Igala Kingdom, Chief Abu Aneku, prayed for success of all Igala, noting that prominent sons and daughters of the land were excelling in all areas of human endeavour.

He called on all Igala in the U.S. to be excellent ambassadors of Nigeria and Igala land, as well as teach their offsprings the culture and language of their land of origin.

The well-attended conference, themed ‘Confronting Security Situations in Igala land’, witnessed colourful display of Igala cultural attire, food and dance.

Others are incisive deliberations, a city tour, the Miss Inikpi teen talent show and gala, climaxing with the election of a new 10-member exco led by Teresa Edoja (President) and Dr. Habiba Usman (Secretary) to run the affairs of the organisation.
