Audu kicks against indirect primary for Kogi APC
Son of the late one-time governor of Kogi, Prince Muhammad Audu, has warned the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against proceeding with its indirect mode of primary to pick the party’s candidate for the November 16 governorship election.
Speaking yesterday after picking his expression of interest and nomination form at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Audu cautioned that the adoption of the method for the August 29 primary would spell doom for the political grouping.
He feared that the Rivers and Zamfara scenarios could again play out, as according to him, the state currently houses two factions following disagreements during the congresses.
