Aurora Tech Award opens applications for female innovators

The Aurora Tech Award for female innovators is now accepting applications for its 2024 edition. Organised by inDrive, the award aims to promote women’s innovations across the world.

The winner of the first prize will receive $30,000, with additional prizes of $20,000, $15,000, $10,000, and $10,000 for the second through fifth-place winners.

To be eligible, applicants must be owners or co-owners of a startup that has received less than $4 million in funding and was founded within the last five years.

The startup must also have a minimum viable product.

The application process involves three stages: submissions, a mentorship programme, and the final selection of winners.

The application deadline is November 21, 2024.

Asya Vildt, inDrive’s operations excellence and sustainability director, emphasised the importance of supporting women in technology.

She stated that women entrepreneurs bring unique perspectives and contribute to solving complex problems.
