The Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mr. Osita Okechukwu, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, Senator Ayogu Eze, has no valid petition to withdraw from the tribunal.

The PDP leaders had visited Eze to persuade him to withdraw his petition at the tribunal and join hands with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to develop the state.

But Okechukwu, while reacting to a statement credited to Eze saying that he would not constitute a cog in the wheel of development of Enugu State following a visit to his residence by leaders of the PDP from Enugu North Zone, advised him to first apologise to the APC over his alleged anti-party activities, deception and divisiveness, which he said, killed the momentum the party gathered during the local council election of 2018 in the state.

However, when contacted, Eze simply said: “ I won’t respond to him. I have no comment.”
