Ikale people in Okitipupa and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo State have lauded the Ondo State Government for the release of their kinsmen from Olokuta Medium Prison over land disputes.

Ikale people in Okitipupa and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo State have lauded the Ondo State Government for the release of their kinsmen from Olokuta Medium Prison over land disputes.

They also appreciated efforts of the five-man panel set up by the state government, headed by Tunde Atere to broker peace between the Ago-Alaye community and Araromi-Obu people of Odigbo Local Government Area.

The two communities had been engaged in a legal tussle for the past 15 years over land disputes, which led to fracas on July 16, 2019, after an Akure High Court judgment ruled in favour of the Ikales.
