Bandits, kidnappers fleeing Kaduna, says el-Rufai
Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai yesterday declared that bandits and kidnappers, who have been terrorising parts of the state are now fleeing, as security hit their hideouts.
El-Rufai, who attributed the reduction in kidnapping cases to the coordination and cooperation among security agencies, stressed that the creation of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, has raised the level of proactiveness in tackling crime across the state.
Speaking at the Federal and States Security Administrators’ Meeting in Kaduna, he said the Kaduna-Abuja road has not witnessed a single incident of criminality or kidnapping in the last two and half months, adding that the road was now safe to ply.
