Be hopeful for better Nigeria, APC tells Nigerians
All Progressives Congress (APC) has charged Nigerians to remain hopeful for a brighter and more prosperous future under President Bola Tinubu.
Its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement yesterday, in Abuja, said: “Easter, otherwise known as Resurrection Sunday, is core to the Christian faith, as it commemorates the resurrection of the crucified Jesus Christ, symbolising His victory over death and typifying the triumph of light over darkness.
“On this important occasion, we are reminded of God’s infinite capacity to turn dark clouds into silver linings, and hopelessness into great hope and fortunes.
“We urge Nigerians to stay confident and hopeful for a brighter and more prosperous future for our country.”
He added that essentially, Jesus Christ died and was resurrected to unite and reconcile humanity back to God.
Morka continued: “As we celebrate this rare act of supreme sacrifice, we must strive to follow His lead and embrace those things that united us as Nigerians rather than those that divided us.
“We urge Christians to use the occasion of Easter to celebrate with families, friends, neighbours and the less-privileged with selfless love, kindness, compassion, charity and forgiveness.
“These are some of the enduring virtues immanent in the death and resurrection of Christ, and we pray that the grace and blessings of Easter be upon us all.”
