Benue State Government has distributed 36 vehicles to security operatives in the state to further boost their morale in fighting insecurity.

Benue State Government has distributed 36 vehicles to security operatives in the state to further boost their morale in fighting insecurity.

The Guardian was at the event when the vehicles were distributed to the police, army, navy, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Presenting the vehicles to the representatives of the security agencies at the Government House, Makurdi, Governor Samuel Ortom, represented by his Special Adviser on Security, Lt-Col. Paul Hemba (rtd.), said the gesture was part of the state’s effort to tackle insecurity.

Ortom said the vehicles would assist the operatives to rid the state of criminals.
