Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has described as mischievous and misleading insinuations that the Proposed ‘Benue Youth Summit’ was a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) affair.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has described as mischievous and misleading insinuations that the Proposed ‘Benue Youth Summit’ was a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) affair.

In a statement yesterday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Amase, the governor clarified that the event, holding between November 25 and 27,2020, “is for every Benue youth irrespective of political affiliation, religion and place of origin.”

The summit, he added, is non-partisan and would afford the young citizens a good opportunity to interface with the state government on issues affecting them with a view to working out solutions.

While inaugurating the Youth Summit Steering Committee on October 28, 2020, Ortom had charged the committee to be committed with the onerous task.
