
Speaking after the board meeting of the association in Abuja, APBN president, Olumuyiwa Ajibola said it is important for the President to plant round pegs in round holes in order to achieve the best results in the delivery of government business.
He noted that in addition to having the best talents in the drivers seat, emphasis must be put on set goals of government to which each arm of government must submit, with discernable plans to realise adding that this will ensure orderliness and consistency in the perception, formulation and implementation of government policies.
Ajibola who commended the various strategies being adopted by government to raise the stakes in the management of the National economy, urged the president to raise an economic team comprising professionals to assist with more options based on knowledge, experience and deep understanding of local challenges.
He said that development of infrastructure is a critical part of activities that will make the economy better and stressed the need to engage relevant professionals in charting the road map to the attainment of functional infrastructure employing all viable options.
Also speaking, National President of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Lekwa Ezutah, stressed the need for all the professional bodies to collaborate with one another to promote good relationship and ward off external aggression and facilitate their businesses whether in public or private sectors.
