President Muhammadu Buhari is expected in Warri on Thursday to flag off the Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) rally for the presidential, gubernatorial, national and state House of Assembly campaigns dubbed “mother of all rallies”.

To this end, APC chieftains in the state including the state gubernatorial candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, met for several hours at the Warri home of the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, who decamped to the APC to achieve his senatorial ambition.

Uduaghan in the company of APC leaders Tuesday inspected the Warri City stadium where the mega rally will take place to ensure a hitch-free rally.

During the APC meeting at Uduaghan’s residence, various committees were set up to ensure the rally is a huge success, and to send a signal to the ruling PDP which recently accused the APC of not campaigning but scheming to achieve success via election malpractices.

Also in attendance at the meeting were Temi Harriman, Prophet Erue, A.S. Mene and other APC leaders.

A statement by the State Organising Secretary of the APC, Sir A.S. Mene, urged APC faithful to turn out en masse to welcome the president and his team to the ground-breaking rally dubbed “mother of all rallies”

In the same vein, a notable APC chieftain and the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami, disclosed that adequate security personnel would be at strategic locations around the stadium to ensure that incidents of security breach do not occur.

He equally hinted that security agencies would be on standby in strategic positions in Warri and its environs including the waterways to forestall ugly incidence before, during and after the Presidential campaign flag off.

The Guardian gathered that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhmole; some state governors and National Assembly members would attend the rally.
