Oki, who is also the President and General Overseer of Christ Chosen Deliverance Church, Irri, Isoko South Local Council, spoke during a ceremony to lay the foundation of the building.
Lauding clergymen from various denominations that accompanied him to the event, Oki promised to complete the Isoko CAN secretariat building before the end of this month.
Oki, who is also a United Nations (UN) peace ambassador and member of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to African nations, explained that he was using his personal funds for the building as nobody had yet supported the project.
Laying the foundation, Archbishop Gimbright Adaigho, accompanied by bishops and heads of various denominations, commended Oki for embarking on building the secretariat, adding: “The history of Isoko nation has changed to the Glory of God.”
Narrating how the project started, Bishop-elect, Rev. Edward Emanueta, said Oki told Isoko CAN members, after his election, that God had sent him to build it.
