
It was a celebration galore as two more presidential aspirants and the governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru and Senator Ajayi Borrofice, stepped down for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the race for the presidential candidacy of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Badaru, who recalled the role he played in the 2018 national convention of the party, reiterated his support for consensus building in the party.
He also justified his decision for endorsing Tinubu, saying it was borne out of his resolve to ensure power shift to the South in the spirit of justice and fairness.
“We are trained to do what is right, to be just fair and know that what is destined for you must come to you,” Badaru said.
“For this reason confirm withdrawal from the race and declare my support for our leader Tinubu.”
