CIBN president unveils bankers hall at KWASU

Dr. Ken Opara, President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), has inaugurated the newly built CIBN Bankers Hall, a legacy project endowed by the Institute to the Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete, Kwara State.
University Librarian, Kwara State University, Professor Abdulsalam Abiodun Salman(left); 2nd Vice President CIBN, Dele Alabi; Acting Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh; President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, Ken Opara; Registrar/CEO, CIBN, Akin Morakinyo at the commissioning of the CIBN legacy project endowed to Kwasu held yesterday.

Dr. Ken Opara, President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), has inaugurated the newly built CIBN Bankers Hall, a legacy project endowed by the Institute to the Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete, Kwara State.

Joining Opara were Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Kwara, Dr. Mary Arinde; Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu Gambari; Acting Vice Chancellor, KWASU, Prof. Shaykh Jimoh.

In his address, Opara emphasised the importance of collaboration between academia and the banking industry, reiterating CIBN’s commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence and professionalism within the banking sector.

In his response, Jimoh appreciated CIBN for the gesture and promised to keep the hall in good shape.
