Cleric pledges support for Kuje traditional ruler

The Presiding Pastor of the Voice of Healing Global Church, Kuje, Mr Ikenna Nzelibe has pledged support for the newly crowned Etsu of Kango Community, Kuje, Mr Yohanna Dogo.

Dogo made the made the pledge on Monday in Abuja when he led a delegation of the church on a congratulatory visit to the traditional ruler.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dogo was on Jan. 24, crowned the Etsu of Kango by the Gomo of Kuje, Alhaji Haruna Tanko.

Dogo said the pledge was to support the Etsu to ensure peace, harmony and development of the community.

According to him, without support from his people, residents and visitors, development of the community would be impossible.

He pledged that the church`s continued support to the traditional ruler, to bring about the needed development in the community.

The cleric called on residents of the community to support the traditional ruler to achieve his developmental goals.

“As a church, we are here to associate with your palace and let you know that we are ready to offer necessary support to ensure the development of Kango community.

“We are aware of the increasing influx of people coming into the community because of the development and good foundation that has been laid.

“With the increasing influx of people, we are appealing to the palace to put machineries in place to ensure the security of lives and property in the community,” he said

In his remark, the traditional ruler thanked the delegation for the visit, adding that it was necessary to ensure a robust partnership between the church and the palace.

Dogo said the development of Kango community would remain a priority for the palace, and called for support and partnership from stakeholders.

He promised to run an open door leadership to accommodate advice and constructive criticisms that would ensure the development of the community.
