Cleric tasks FG on stimulus package for vulnerable citizens

General Overseer, Hour of Mercy Prayer Ministry Worldwide, Prophet Moses Muyideen Kasali has asked the Federal Government to provide stimulus package for vulnerable citizens, following the stay-at-home order, occasioned by the outbreak of COVID- 19.

Kasali said this category of people that has been ordered to stay at home and observe social distancing does not have means of livelihood.

The cleric, therefore, advised government to step up efforts at making food available, especially for the elderly and the needy to protect them from hunger.He stressed the need for hygienic lifestyle and proper health screening for immigrants coming into the country.

Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Friday after the event marking the ministry’s 10th anniversary of Alaseyori annual prayer and fasting programme, Kasali lauded government for taking some steps to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

The cleric also lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who was among the dignitaries that graced the church anniversary.He charged those in leadership position in the country to always display humility, as they serve the people.
