Cleric tasks government, parents on quality education
The Anglican Bishop Of Awori Diocese, Rt. Reverend Johnson Atere, has called on government to show more interest in the nation’s educational system. He said the current situation where more attention is paid to certification leaves students with incomplete education.
The cleric said this at the 60th Founders’ Day Commemoration Service Of The Grange School, held at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
Reverend Atere disclosed that qualitative education would make recipients care for the society and human lives, adding that though education begins at home, people should all work together to instill the fear of God in students, as anything outside this would amount to wastage of resources.
