NIGERIANS have been urged to emulate and celebrate President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat at the just concluded presidential election, an action that doused tension in the country.

According to the Senior Pastor, Foursquare Gospel church, Abuja, Babajide Olowodola, the President’s action brought calm and peace in the land.

The cleric who spoke at the Scripture Union Fellowship Easter conference tagged “In The Days of His Power” also urged Nigerians to celebrate the President-elect, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari for his perseverance in the race.

“We want Christians to celebrate our President. He lost the election but he won our love and admiration and that is very profound of him. He has written his name in gold . His singular action has doused the tension and brought calm in the land. And we must celebrate him for that.

“We must also celebrate the incoming President for his doggedness. He didn’t give up. He tried and tried and his fourth attempt gave it for him. And it is for a purpose and it is going to be wonderful beginning for Nigeria. I don’t have any doubt on that.”

“The church needs to pray for the new administration. We need to see the incoming President as God chosen. God can use anybody to bring a change and the change we are looking for is not a cosmetic one. They are changes that are fundamental that can put Nigeria at the map of the world.”

He further said that Easter celebration was crucial for the manifestation of His power.

“Well, it is a time to be grateful and thank God for an empty tomb. The empty tomb of Jesus is an eternal symbolism of the power of resurrection. This season we are in is a season of resurrection that is what we celebrate at this time. It is time when the death shall hear the voice of God and everything that shall hear his voice shall live. It is a time of hearing and living for us as a church,” he added.

Clerics stop commenting already. He lost an election and he has moved on. Is Jonathan now Jesus for us to emulate. What is going on?

You false cleric have come again. So Christian should now emulate Jonathan because of ineptitude or cowardness? Please, Christians, Jesus Christ is the only Master we have and must imitate and He will lead us aright. I told/asked Jonathan when he left the dying people for Jerusalem thus: Will your going to Jerusalem make a better leader or Christian? Will this make you win the coming election? One should not abandon his/her responsibility inn the name of religion. Our faith is seen in our commitment to our daily duty.

There’s an adage that when a child speaks you would be able to guess his/her age. The cleric’s counsel here does not warrant all these misinterpretations pls my namesake- lets forget the other false identities. It is a virtue to consider others better than yourself – Scriptures teaches so. If you don’t understand someone don’t misinterpret the person. Parochial judgement is easily exposed when facts are distorted for selfish purposes. Any Nigerian who cannot see THE GOOD in what GEJ did in giving Nigeria PEACE (Rather than the Western predicted Bloodshed/collapse of the Nigerian nation) is either a toddler or suffering from Political Short-sightedness/amnesia. They should ask Gbagbo who is not a coward how far? There is an Emerging New Nigeria or call it United States of Nigeria (USN); Those who are not lovers of peace are free to re-locate to any other country of their choice or GROW- UP to fit in-Long Live Nigeria. GEJ, GMB & Prof. Jeja are Heroes that emerged by the Power of PVC as our Easter Gifts 2015. No one can bury THE FACTS OF HISTORY. Apology is accepted like Uncle Orubebe wisely did-Lesson for the wise in heart who erred.
