Cleric urges Nigerians to shun violence

Muslims in the country have been advised to join hands with the government of President Muhammad Buhari in promoting peace and progress in Nigeria. This statement was made in Kano when the children of Sheikh Ibrahim Niass from Senegal were led by BOT Secretary of Jamm’iyaah Ansarideen Attijaniyyat Alhaji AbdulRauf Iliasu to the government house in Kano.

The Senegal delegation which consisted of Sheikh Mahki Ibrahim Niass, Sheikh Muhammad Mukhtar Ibrahim Niass, Sheikh Kurash Ibrahim Niass, and the last child of the erudite scholar Sheikh Surajudeen Ibrahim Niass were led by the eldest in the delegation Sheikh Mahi Ibrahim Niass.

The Kano Deputy Governor, Prof. Hafizu Abubakar, who received the delegation on behalf of the government and the good people of Kano State said prayer is the sword of every believer. He urged Muslims to pray for Nigeria always. Shortly after this was a prayer session for the state.

The delegate prayed for the government officials, Kano people and Nigerian as a whole, they prayed for Allah’s guidance, Allah’s protection and Allah’s
Rahaman for Nigeria. They implored Nigerians to shun violence as nations cannot progress whenever there is crisis.

Addressing the press after the meeting in government house in Kano, Alhaji Iliasu said the delegation visited Kano Government after a courtesy visit to Khalipha Ishyaku Rabiu the Khadimul Qur’an Kareem.
