Communities laud Kwara Speaker for fulfilling campaign promises

The people of Efue and Berikodo communities have commended the Kwara State Speaker, Mr. Razak Atunwa over the renovation of schools and central mosques of both communities less than a month after he was declared winner of the House of Representatives seat of Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency elections held on 28th March.

The gesture, which marks the preamble of the fulfillment of campaign promises, has been described by the people of Efue and Berikodo as a timely development, which has boosted their confidence in the leadership of Mr. Razak Atunwa whom they said is determined to perform beyond imaginations and place the constituency first among equals.

Speaking with newsmen in Berikodo, the chief Imam of Berikodo, Imam Daudu said the intervention by Atunwa, which led to a complete rehabilitation of the Berikodo school and central mosque is one of such gestures of Atunwa in Asa. He expressed the belief that the lawmaker would perform well at the National Assembly will surpass the expectations of the people.

Alangua of Berikodo, Alhaji Ajao Ibrahim said the rapid physical transformation of Asa landscape through the state government and Atunwa’s infrastructure renewal plan is an indication of a people-centered disposition of the government. He urged the people of Efue, Berikodo and Asa at large to continue to support the government in its developmental strides.
Responding Atunwa restated his support to the people of Asa and Ilorin West, stating that he would ensure the constituency doesn’t suffer basic amenities, declaring his commitment towards job creation and empowerment for youths and women.
