Udo said this in Uyo while speaking on ‘Good governance as an enabler of Peace and Development’ on a radio programme tagged Maintain Peace Movement.
Udo appreciated the state Governor, Udom Emmanuel, who, according to him, has created a peaceful atmosphere in the state in the last seven years, stressing that Eno would continue on the path of peace if elected.
He said: “We have hospitals, schools, roads and other infrastructure. Now, we are entering another phase of development, which is massive job creation. You must figure out where you have your strength so that you can key in almost immediately.”
The council boss said the political conflict in the state would not stop the emergence of Eno, whom he described as God’s anointed governor in 2023.
While describing Eno as a candidate popular among progressive minds, Udo commended him for his peaceful mien, even in the face of political turbulence in the state.
“In politics, there must always be a struggle. The fact that there is a struggle does not take away the fact that one, who God has anointed, will succeed. You don’t expect everything to be rosy. You must expect hiccups here and there.”
