The Royal Council of Owu Obas has directed the Balogun of Owu and former President Olusegun Obasanjo to closely guide the Otileta Ruling House and ensure they produce capable candidate for the Olowu of Owu vacant stool.

Olowu of Owu-Kuta, Oba Adekunle Makama, Tegbosun III, in a statement yesterday after a meeting held at the palace of Alawowo in Ogun State, said it is imperative to follow the age-long procedure of Owu culture as regards the next Olowu of Owu in Abeokuta, adding:

“Royal Council of Owu Obas” be adopted for the gathering of Owu Obas. The council directed its members to live in harmony with neighbours in their respective domains. advised that no Owu Oba should engage in frivolous leadership tussle with one another.
