The Magistrate Court 3, Kano State, on Monday directed the state Hisbah Board to arrange the marriage of TikTok star, Ashir Mai Wushirya, and his frequent co‑star, the vertically‑challenged content creator known as Basira Yar Guda, within 60 days.
The order came after the duo were accused of immorality, arrested and prosecuted by the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board for staging playful wedding skits.
According to Freedom Radio report, monitored by our correspondent, Magistrate Halima Wali, who presided over the case, gave the order to the board to organise the wedding.
The court’s decision followed a hearing where the dwarf lady affirmed her willingness to marry Mai Wushirya to the magistrate.
Commenting on the development, Abba El-Mustapha, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Film and Video Censorship Board, which oversees films, music, and content creation, called on the public to make financial donations to support the couple’s wedding preparations.
The Guardian reports that this marriage order was coming in spite of the fact that the TikToker was using the dwarf lady to boost his content.
