The Pastor-in-charge, Ikate Baptist Church, Surulere, Rev. Jide Adetutu, has called on churches to educate congregants and parishioners on best ways to prevent the deadly coronavirus diseases, through washing of their hands and use of sanitisers.

Adetutu who gave the admonition, yesterday, during a breakfast luncheon organised by the church to raise N52m for its expansion, noted that churches owe their members the responsibility of continued enlightenment in order for them not to undermine their health.

The cleric, who claimed that coronavirus and sundry ailments, including Lassa fever were signs of end-time, according to the scriptures, advised the country and its people to move closer to God in addition to taking the prescribed steps to ensure personal safety.
