MSF Upgrades COVID-19 Preventive Measures In Borno
Foremost trado-medicine formulator and owner of Yem-Kem International, Dr. Akintunde Ayeni is set to produce preventive herbal medicine for both viral and bacteria infections especially to tackle the COVID-I9 pandemic. Ayeni who is partnering with the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, said the Oba is passionate about ensuring the fight against COVID-19 with herbal remedy. “We are currently at the preparatory stage and need the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to check our content and ensure it is not toxic.”

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) has said that it has upgraded coronavirus (COVID-19) preventive measures in Borno, pledging to work with the state government in its efforts counter the pandemic that has claimed nine lives in the state. The upgraded measures were based on protocols of the NCDC and in collaboration with state ministries of health. According to them, their priority remains in ensuring that patients are treated in a safe and healthy environment and committed to providing free and essential life-saving care to Borno residents.
