C&S Church assures Nigerians of economic rebound

Calls for national prayers amid insecurity
The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide has expressed confidence that the Nigerian economy will rebound, calling on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The church gave the charge in Lagos during a media briefing and the announcement of the 56th Mount Horeb Pilgrimage, scheduled to take place from May 4-11, 2025, to mark both the yearly ascension and the church’s 56th anniversary with the theme: “Double Glory.”

It, however, called for a united prayer effort to seek divine intervention for peace and stability in response to rising insecurity across the country.

Conference Supervisor of the church, Dr Joel Olayinka Adeniran, who spoke on behalf of the church’s Spiritual Head, Dr Emmanuel Alogbo, said God had revealed to the church that the government would succeed if it is allowed to succeed.

He said the church acknowledges the economic reality occasioned by physical and monetary policies of the government, but believes that the public must play their part to get the country working and that business owners must avoid deliberate price hikes.

Adeniran, who spoke on insecurity in the country, stressed the importance of the government in prioritising the welfare of the people, saying, “The government at all levels must focus on the welfare of the people by reducing the hardship they face.”

He also called on civil organisations to support the government’s efforts to tackle the persistent price hikes affecting millions of Nigerians.

The conference supervisor, who urged the government to confront security issues head-on, called on church leaders to rally their congregations and all Nigerians to “pray without ceasing” for the nation’s peace and stability.
